What is a third party network vulnerability assessment?
A third party network vulnerability assessment is a comprehensive test performed by security experts from outside your local area network in order to determine if your data is vulnerable to compromise by malicious hackers.

My IT team says my system is secure. Why do I need your service?
Not only do most companies lack security specialists on staff but as competent as your IT staff may be it is imperative that you have your network vulnerability assessed by professionals with no vested interest in the outcome of the testing. If vulnerabilities are found there are implications that need to be addressed and not covered up. Ultimately, your data is far too important to leave to chance or a black box security device that may or may not be configured properly and up to date.

How often should I test?
Networks are always in a state of flux. Whenever servers are added or rebuilt, whenever new software is installed, whenever users email with unsafe attachments you may be opening a hole in your perimeter security. Testing should not only be done on a regular basis but any time there is a change to the architecture or services of your network.

Why should I use you?
The main reason you should choose us for your network vulnerability assessment is because we use real people. Automated solutions simply do not have the ability to compensate for countermeasures that may be in place. While an automated solution may find a part of a network unresponsive (and therefore non existent) a person can recognize if a service is being masked and employ workarounds in order to give you a true assessment of any vulnerabilities that may be present.

How much does it cost?
Cost will vary depending on how large your network is and how many network vulnerability assessment credits you purchase. Purchasing credits in bulk reduces the overall price of each assessment while larger networks require more credits to be used during the assessment.

How do I know my data is secure with you?
When we assess your network for vulnerabilities we do not actually penetrate your network. In this way there is no opportunity for us to even see your data. We simply report to you where your vulnerabilities lie and how to fix them. We are never privy to any proprietary data.

Do you guarantee I cannot be hacked?
While there are no guaranteed in life most networks are compromised by exploiting known vulnerabilities. Since assessments are being performed by real people we are constantly implementing tests for the most current known vulnerabilities. This is your best chance for thwarting would be hackers in real time.

Do you offer services or tech support to address vulnerabilities you may find on my network?
When a vulnerability is found we will not only notify you of the vulnerability but what should be done in order to rectify it. It is then up to your in house staff to perform the suggested maintenance and retest.

What are “credits”?
A credit is a logical unit used to pay for a vulnerability assessment on one IP address.

Can I use my credits for another system(s)?
You may only use our service to perform network vulnerability assessments on system(s) using IP addresses you own. You may not use our service to assess the vulnerability of someone else's network for obvious reasons. Other than that you are free to use your credits whenever and however you like.

Can I return unused credits for refund?
No. Since we discount credits purchased in bulk we do not issue refunds for unused credits.

Do you offer incentives for referring your services?
While there are no end user incentives at this time we do have an authorized reseller program. If you are an IT consulting firm looking to add third party penetration testing to your list of services we offer wholesale discounts to those who qualify.

How long does a network vulnerability assessment take?
The time needed to complete a comprehensive assessment is dictated by the size and complexity of your network. Average assessments are usually completed in one or two weeks.
